Full Moon in Aries,
at 11:57 AM,
Central European Time
September’s Full Moon in Aries is also the last Super Moon of the year, named Harvest Moon. A Super Moon is a time when the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth and is also in its Full phase, and from there it can cause dramatic natural events, such as tectonic shifts and earthquakes, ocean storms, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions.
Aries is the first sign in the Zodiac, with a cardinal element and a fire nature, all of which symbolize a dynamic, impulsive, quick and initiative nature. Of course, there are also the characteristics of courage, self-confidence, honesty, sovereignty, independence and even rebelliousness. This is often a result of the boundless faith this sign has in own self — the ruling planet is Mars — which sometimes portrays an inability to empathize with the needs of others, causing to sometimes come off as self-centered and egotistical regardless of own urges.
The Full Moon is the culmination of a cycle, when the Moon is in direct opposition to the Sun, thus putting personal and family needs in a kind of conflict, as we feel that we have difficulty meeting our personal needs and harmonizing them with the needs of family and loved ones.
Full Moons illuminate, bring clarity and often coincide with revelations and climaxes as this phase of the Moon has the ability to illuminate things and show different angles of the same situation that previously seemed hidden. Through these discoveries, we can fully process our thoughts and emotions and thus finally heal ourselves
This FULL MOON in ARIES will emphasize polarization as it occurs on the Aries/Libra axis, in other words my vs. your wants or my vs. our needs. Dynamic, impatient and passionate, this is a time when great tension can arise due to a one-sided view of things, highlighted by several tense aspects such as the Moon’s opposition to Pallas Athena in Libra and the square to Vesta in Cancer, all in the cardinal signs.
Mercury trine Uranus Rx is an aspect that will offer many original ideas that will be communicated with ease. These insights will be very advanced and even futuristic.
The fixed square between Venus conjunction Juno in Leo and Uranus Rx in Taurus will also be active, which will emphasize the independent spirit, the true passion for life with all its potential and will bring new discoveries or ways of expression — a creative spark that comes unexpectedly and sets fire to everything around it. Venus conjunct Juno is an aspect that speaks to our need for loyalty, making lasting alliances or intimate relationships, against the unpredictability of Uranus Rx in Taurus, whose dispositor is precisely Venus. Venus square Uranus Rx is unexpected stagnation, energy blockage and prolonged inner rigidity. Forget old, burdened ideas about who you should be or how you should feel and live your life.
The Sun in Libra, also ruled by Venus, strives for ideals, balance, humanism and the need for justice, motivated by goodness, the need for balanced partnerships, truth, beauty, peace and tolerance.
What’s highlighted this Full Moon is Aries’ dispositor Mars currently in Libra, which can cause some frustration because you can’t do exactly what YOU want. You oscillate between the urge to be direct or indirect, assertive or unobtrusive, collaborative or independent … and that’s hard.
Mars quincunx Uranus Rx is an aspect that can cause frustration and impulsiveness, so it is very important to learn to tame spontaneity and devise a way to argue.
Mars opposition Eris Rx and Chiron Rx in Aries indicates potential problems with the face or some persons from society: if you come across persons with a pale face it is a potential illness; a beautiful face brings good news; people who hide their faces probably have bad news, and if you remember someone you haven’t seen in a long time, know that those people have probably left this world or lost their personality in some way.
Let’s not forget that Pluto Rx in Capricorn is also in the game, which requires many aspects to be transformed, mostly government structures, and which will be in a square to the North Node in Aries, which is in conjunction with Eris Rx. The North Node is our collective karma, and Eris is a brave adventurer who doesn’t care much about the consequences.
Black Moon Lilith in Virgo sesquisquare Pluto Rx signifies an awareness of the interconnectedness of all things in a single awareness. Every cut tree, plant or excessive use of natural resources affects the entire eco system. Even our thoughts have this power, so it is good not to judge and not to be malicious, because every thought and word has its own vibration that creates.
Fortunately, Venus and Mars are in sextile and will work well together, making this flight into the unknown filled with unlimited potential. This sextile confirms that life should be trusted and enjoyed, because that is the only way we will grow through this experience.
This Full Moon occurs at 06° Aries 01′, and the Sabian symbol for this degree is called — A MAN SUCCEEDS IN EXPRESSING HIMSELF SIMULTANEOUSLY IN TWO REALMS.
Dane Rudhyar says of this second stage of the second fivefold sequence of symbols, that we see man’s ability to LIVE TWO SEPARATE LIVES — and find fulfilment and happiness in both. Many of the complexities of human nature are based on this capacity.
What we need to ask ourselves is in which area of life do we divide our attention, which aspect do we give priority to, where do we scatter our energies and are we fully focused on what we are doing?
This is a symbol that emphasizes creative diversity and duality. Integrating the spiritual and the material. Movement through people’s lives and social strata. Living a double life. Deceiving ourselves that you can be all things to all people and ultimately fail. Infidelity and fickleness. Compromise to keep people happy.
In particular, the cardinal signs — Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn — could find themselves in a situation where they would like to free themselves from certain constraints, not taking into account the needs of others, or take on more responsibilities in order to put the emphasis on themselves. There is a time to be bold and spontaneous and a time to be consistent and responsible, and recognizing the difference is the current challenge.
There are many paths before you: some that promise to fulfil your wishes and some that encourage you to fulfil the wishes of others. It is important to decide exactly where you want to go and who you want to be in this life — for YOU, not for someone else. Don’t take this lightly, because the wrong path can detour you from your destiny.
How this Full Moon will be reflected in individual lives is a story unto itself and a personal search for answers. Everything is really possible. Open and expand your mind and knowledge about these beliefs. You don’t need to know how, just that anything is possible.
Stay in good health and mood!
