The next Full Moon is taking place in Cancer, a sign with a water element and cardinal quality. This is the fourth sign in the Zodiac that appears immediately after the Summer Solstice, therefore with this sign the whole water world appears: a symbol of primordial water, calm and deep bubbling waters that pass through mother’s milk and vegetable juices.

Cancer is identified with the maternal archetype: everything that is big and envelops, conceals, guards, protects and warms what is small. This sign belongs to the role of mediation and environment.

The Moon is the ruler of this sensitive and soft sign — despite the armour, its interior is extremely soft — so this Full Moon will have an increased influence mostly on emotions, family life, relations with parents, i.e. the mother, as well as the home where we grew up.

The Full Moon is the culmination of a cycle when the Moon is in direct opposition to the Sun, thus putting personal and family needs in a kind of conflict, as we feel that we have difficulty meeting our personal needs and harmonizing them with the needs of family and loved ones.

This FULL MOON will be in direct opposition with retrograde MERCURY, which will form a close conjunction with the SUN, and all this indicates a conflict due to the need to connect with others on a more intimate level, to respect tradition and early family habits, but also a reluctance to listen to the other party, so there can be strained relations, mostly in the family, but also in larger corporations. Many will feel they have to meet all deadlines and this can cause additional stress.

The cardinal signs will be in focus due to the T-square between SUN/MERCURY in CAPRICORN, MOON/PALLAS ATHENA in CANCER, as well as CHIRON/ERIS in ARIES. This combination indicates multitasking, emotional baggage, longing or reaching for the past and taking on too much responsibility — unnecessary — but that’s it, we will all feel these influences, no matter what sectors of life.

As a beautiful and alleviating circumstance, the trine between the MOON and the asteroid VESTA in PISCES is occurring, which will encourage us to start new phases in our individual lives, emphasizing the feeling of selflessness.

The SUN will make a trine with URANUS Rx in TAURUS, the FULL MOON will make a sextile with URANUS Rx, VENUS in AQUARIUS will be in a wide trine with MARS Rx, and in sextile with JUPITER in ARIES, SATURN will be in semi-sextile with NEPTUNE and in general these are the main aspects of the first FULL MOON of this year. This combination of aspects heralds an abundance of riches, inspiration or prosperity in the immediate future, which will be the result of hard work and dedication — SUN conjunction MERCURY Rx in CAPRICORN.

This FULL MOON also indicates the discovery of secrets and information that have been locked up and hidden somewhere far away. Emotions will vary and while we are with family it will be good to cultivate a sense of belonging and intimacy. Due to the strong dynamics of the planets and the aspects they will make, we could feel exhausted, on edge, angry or misunderstood. Feelings of losing control in important areas of life may be accentuated, and this may further necessitate regaining control through subtle tactics and manipulation. That is why it is especially important to find a moment for relaxation to overcome the feeling of confusion and anxious feelings.

In order to get the desired balance, it is especially important for this Full Moon to drink larger amounts of water in order to detoxify and remove toxic elements in the body and the subtle body. That way clarity will naturally return especially if you just take a moment to sit quietly and relax in the moment. What actions you should take, if any, will naturally arise.

Now is the perfect time to let go of any addictive relationships or patterns from the family’s past once and for all. When the intense emotions are cleared, there will be a great opportunity to make a fresh start and create brand new patterns for yourself that you won’t want to miss.

This FULL MOON is taking place on 16 Cancer 22', and the Sabian symbol for this degree is called — The Germ Grows Into Knowledge And Life. In addition to the initial and obvious symbolism that speaks of sowing new knowledge and planting new life, this symbol speaks of the natural need of every person to achieve their potential, especially through birth. The emphasis falls on the process of germination: the germinated seed breaks through the soil and rushes towards the light which is a dynamic process, as opposed to the static or introspective process of integration through understanding shown in the previous symbol (Dane Rudhyar).

The multilevel seed contains the potential for growth, as the extended process of self-actualization and manifestation of one’s own nature and form (svarupa in Sanskrit). The key word is GROWTH.

This situation is pregnant with potentialities that take time to grow from seed and blossom, and then scatter their seed again for further development and fertilization. Everything in life takes time: from the conception of a child to its birth. Therefore, instead of rushing, one should find one’s own pace and rhythm in order to reach the desired results and wisdom.

Children will be born who will embody vibrations of peace, integrity and sincere love. The best way to tap into this energy is to become emissaries of love ourselves by changing our attention from fear to love every moment and thus become part of the evolution of awareness that these children personify.
